What We Do
This site is not a full time paying job, so updates may take a few days to occur. The more you click the advertisment links (care of googleads) the more freetime we will have to work on bettering this site. That doesn't really explain what we do, so let me take another crack at it: This site is for Fast Cars, People, and Pictures. What does all that mean? Well, namely EVERY party we go to we will take pictures and update the site with those pictures. But on the weekends where nothing much is going on, we will most likely just throw a new car video or other entertaining morsels in various sections.
Where We Are
Geographically we are located in Illinois, and more specifically in the Chicago-Land area. However, it is the goal that people from everywhere start posting pictures on this site.
Where We Are Going
Physically we will only go as far as we can get in a single weekend. But we can't go to every event in every town on every weekend. We have school, we have jobs, we have significant others (well, sometimes). We are the average Joe. Eventually we want this site to be a place to find out what is going on a particular weekend. Also, it will be a source of what has already happened (hopefully not just stories, but pictures also).
I'm now going to be adding a "Car Section", which will take a while to do, but it should be nice when it is completed. You'll know when/where, so don't look here for updates.
What Does It Cost
To the end users (you) this site is free. The only thing we ask of you is a few clicks to the advertisment links to help support our hosting habits.
How The Pictures Are Displayed
All pictures are taken using the highest quality setting on the Sony CyberShot DSC-L1 Camera. Each picture is then opened with Photoshop 7, Photoshop
CS, CS2, or Photoshop CS3, and converted to a standard 640x480 picture. The JPG quality is always set to 60, unless the file size is greater than 100KB, in which case the JPG quality is set to 40. Blury pictures are very rarely uploaded, as quality is a must. Starting November 2006, the picture size will be increased to 800x600. The size of the file will vary depending on the detail of the picture.
Are You In A Picture?
Think of it as an honor to be selected for a picture. If you want to have the full sized image (roughly 2304 x 1728 pixels), you can e-mail me with at least a couple details. If you see yourself online but don't want to be posted there, well, if you're nice you can e-mail me again telling me you don't want your picture online. I'll try to honor your requests within a 48 hour period, but if I'm on a vacation or other unforseen circumstances arise, well, you can just wait.
